Karkonosze - the highest mountain range in Sudety with its highest mountain-Śnieżka (it’s also the highest mountain in Czech Republic-1602 meters above sea level).It has very harsh climate-comparable with the highest parts of Alps. Many rock formations and, postglacial cirques, lakes, rare plants and animals;
Szklarska Poręba - charming city in the heart of Karkonosze, very good starting point for trekking. Many interesting places to visit: waterfalls of Szklarki and Kamienczyka, Hauptmann’s house(Nobel prize in literature in 1912),glass handicraft museum;
Karpacz - together with Szklarska Poręba the most important city in Polish part of Karkonosze. Starting point for mountain trekking(especially on Śnieżka).To see: Vang church-originally built in Norway(12th century),moved to Karpacz in 1842 by the Prussian King;
Jakuszyce – Polish center of the cross country skiing;
Harrachov – lovely city on the Czech site of the border, it’s famous because of the ski jumping arena, glass handicraft and beer baths….;
Beside of that if you like wild nature and trekking in Sudety you discover many ranges where you can find peace and silence: Śnieżnik Massif; Bystrzyckie Mountains; Izerskie Mountains, Owl Mountains etc.
